Newbie here.. need help with shipping fees
Hi.. I REALLY need help. I want to post a listing for crayons- 1 count with FBM. Im seeing listings for the same exact item and their listings offer free shippng. When I do research to get shipping rates for the same 1 pack, the cheapest with USPS is -aprox $5.17 .
How are these people making any money at all if they are selling that 1 pack of crayons for $3.00 when they have to pay USPS $5.17..... and that doesnt even include the cost of the crayons and shipping supplys. What am I missing?? They are loosing $$ if Im seeing this correctly.
I keep seeing that Amazon says to offer basic free shipping -with FBM..... Is Amazon covering the basic free shipping cost and then charging me a seller fee to recoup the shipping cost?
I do not understand how anyone can make $$ if the shipping cost is more than the selling price and I have to offer free shipping. If i list the item with the buyer paying for shipping, I wont get a single order..

Hey there,
Unfortunately it's tough to speak with certainty on the profitability of other sellers without knowing all of their details, it's even possible that they aren't actually turning a large profit (but as I said, impossible to know for sure without all of the details).
