Non Case Pack now requires placement fees even if you break shipment up into 5 boxes?

Since the new placement fees went into effect, we have been having success with splitting our shipments into 5 equal boxes.... several sku's in each box with the same quantity of each sku in each box. We have had no placement fees with this approach.

Suddenly this is no longer working and even though we set it up with the 5 separate boxes, after the confirmation the only option it's giving is to put everything in one shipment with the maximum placement fees. This shipment has same quantity in each box. Same category of product.

As an experiment I tried sending in 5 case packs and that allowed me to send without placement fees so it seems Amazon changed the policy for putting more than one product in a box

Has anyone else had this happen? Or any suggestions??

I just did 3 shipments in boxes of 5 and did not have this happen. Are the same even number of items spread between all 5 boxes?

Good to hear. Yes they are even numbers which is strange. I tried a doing a case pack of 5 boxes one item. Then redoing it as one item where I broke it up into 5 boxes. The case pack worked no problem. 1 item broken up into 5 even boxes wouldn't allow this and It wanted to charge me placement fees??

I wonder if this new pop-up affects your shipments: Under Step 1, choose a domestic "Ship from" address and skip providing packing details for your FNSKU. Next, select "Skip packing and continue" under Step 1b.

Our items are small (under 12" each side) and we do not do specified packing details (everything is just in the box together).

I just ran it again and didn't have placement fees so there might be a new change with the step adding packing details that is creating the issue, where case packed already has those details. Just an idea?
