Can we use the keyword weight loss under food and bevarage category?

Hi anyone.

I'm selling chocolates, drinks, and soup powder, and I want to use the term 'weight loss' in my bullet points or title. However, I heard that if you add this term, your listing might be flagged as a food supplement, and Amazon might take it down. I can't afford to have my listing removed. Does anyone know if this rumor is true?

Can someone assist me?

Thank you!

You cannot make claims of "weight loss" in your listing. Amazon will ask for certifications and testing, from everything I seen.

Hi @Proti_Diet_Chocolate,

Thanks for the post. To add onto @TVOI50's guidance, Amazon requires that all dietary supplements have been tested and comply with applicable regulations, including, but not limited to, those listed below. Dietary supplement categories may have differing compliance requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that your product is compliant with the correct requirements.

A finished product certificate of analysis (COA) of all ingredients issued by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory or in-house laboratory that is compliant with current GMPs (21 CFR Part 111 (for products that are a dietary supplement as defined at 21 U.S.C. 321(ff)), or 21 CFR Part 117 (for any other human food product as defined at 21 U.S.C. 321(f)), or both).

Including a quick read on Dietary supplements.

Best regards,
