Compliance Champions: Navigating Documentation Challenges

Hello UK Sellers!

Avoid compliance pitfalls that could lead to product discontinuation or ASIN removal. Here are key tips for submitting compliance documentation:

Provide all requested documents upfront

  • Check the 'Product compliance' tab in Seller Central for specific requirements. Review relevant help pages thoroughly before contacting support with any questions.

Appeal effectively if incorrectly flagged

  • Submit well-written appeals with supporting evidence (manuals, schematics, photos, videos), don't you think any sort of proof can be “probably not required”, make sure to send out everything you have.

Be patient during review process (I know this one can be hard for some business)

  • Compliance reviews typically take 10-15 business days (no weekends included). We handle a high volume of compliance cases to ensure customer safety. If you don't hear back within 15 business days after submitting your documents, feel free to start a forum discussion. Just remember to include the relevant case IDs.

Ensure product and detail page alignment

  • Ensure your product details match compliance information and adhere to detail page rules when updating listings.

Submit high-quality product images

  • Submit clear, real-world photos of all sides of your product and its packaging, rather than using downloaded images.

Meet document submission guidelines

  • Submit high-resolution, unobstructed, and complete documents in acceptable formats (TIF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, PDF, JPEG), ensuring they are authentic, unaltered, and not password-protected.

By following these guidelines, you can streamline the compliance process and maintain your listings on Amazon.

I know this may seem obvious to some sellers, but remember that we're a large community, constantly welcoming new members who might find this information useful. Let's be respectful of everyone's experience level and time in the company.

That being said, please go ahead and share some tips and tricks to help your fellow sellers on this topic. 🤝

Even though you sell to Northern Ireland on Amazon.co.uk you can’t currently comply with all GPSR requirements as you are unable to add on manufacturer and responsible person details on Amazon.co.uk

My compliance tip therefore would be for Amazon to sort that out.
