Resellers selling out of date version of product

Hi All,

We sell various beauty products and have recently found that a number of resellers are selling vastly out of date versions of our products, claiming they are the same as the current product.

For example, we sell our product boxed with a double ended brush included in the box. Some sellers are selling a completely unboxed version of the product (without brush), or an old version of the product with only a single ended brush.

Customers are complaining (and rightly so) that the product isn’t correct and its lumpy etc.

How can we get these resellers removed? They do not have out permission to sell the product (we are the trademark owners).

Neither seller or vendor support seem to be bothered. One of the products we have an issue with was our top seller on vendor central, selling around 1000 units a month in the UK. That number is now down to less than 200 in just over 6 months. We can see the sales are still there because if we compete with them and win the buy box on seller central we get the sales.

Surely it shouldn’t be that hard to stop these sellers? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hey @KFBEAUTYofficial,

If you are brand registered you should try reporting them.

Does the new version of the product have a new/separate ASIN from the older versions - what is the history of the product on Amazon?

Did the older product used to be sold on Amazon and have a valid listing? Are they just listing against the wrong version, or did the listing update when you updated the product and keep the EAN/ASIN?

Does the new version of the product have a new/separate ASIN from the older versions - what is the history of the product on Amazon?

Did the older product used to be sold on Amazon and have a valid listing? Are they just listing against the wrong version, or did the listing update when you updated the product and keep the EAN/ASIN?
