Amazon FBA pickup boxes

It’s some time since I sold on Amazon.and I’m a little puzzled. I’m going to have several boxes of books to send to them. Do they still come and collect if you have enough weight in the boxes? I know there will be.

Problem is when I prepared some books to send in an A4 paper sized double wall box, when I got to each item there is a little box which wants the box number in it. Amazon also wants you to measure each item. The latter is not a problem as I have plenty of rulers and tape measures. How do you tell it that this is Box 1 of several so that I can get the courier to come and collect and take to Amazon? They used to collect with no problem.

They’ll collect a box weighing a lb as happily as they will one weighting 23kg.

I’m assuming you mean to send each book packaged for delivery? Whilst you could do that, each book could happily be sent loose in a single large box - which you should do regardless of whether you package each book or not.

I think you should read up on the latest procedures as things have changed since you last sent goods to Amazon.

Try this link:
https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/learn/courses?moduleId=0b35318b-e8dd-4b42-9a1d-f730a629d50f&courseId=d293aa30-2ecb-49ee-806e-1a57f86e2e60&refTag=su_course_accordion&modLanguage=English&videoPlayer=youtube

Also, 2 important things:

  1. are you sure that FBA is the right sales channel for your used books as they are likely to be very slow moving, this leads up to:
  2. you will pay storage costs for each and every item you store at Amazon, until it sells

Also
3) if you use UPS to send the books, you will pay per box, not per total weight of the shipment.

I suggest you take a step back and make sure you are doing the right thing. Mistakes or simply not appreciating current costs and procedures can be very costly.

Good luck.

If you are thinking of packaging every book separately, why not just use FBM anyway?
