I keep getting FedEx One Rate as my cheapest options for shipments that can't be sent by it.
As of a few days ago, I've started getting FedEx One Rate options for shipments that I'm sure are not valid for what I am sending. I believe that FedEx One Rate shipments are only for items that are in FedEx One Rate packaging. I'm sending things that would not ever fit into any FedEx packaging, but am being presented with these options. For instance, I just entered in a shipment that is 97 inches long. First option and cheapest presented is FedEx One Rate. I'm sure if I actually chose that and sent this 97 inch long package through the FedEx system with it, I would get a quite large chargeback from FedEx. It seems that Amazon should only be presenting these options for shipments that could conceivably actually work with FedEx One Rate. Is there any way to disable FedEx One Rate through the Amazon interface and Veeqo? It's just annoying to have to change it from FedEx One Rate on most shipments.

Is this still something you are seeing in your Buy Shipping available options, or was it a temporary issue?

Thank you. @Seller_dDZbHN4FcE6ocseems to be indicating that the length of the item doesn't matter as long as it falls within the cubic inches, so if that is true, then there isn't an issue with the rates Amazon is displaying after all. I just find it surprising if I can send items that are 97 inches long at the flat rate. I will check into this when I find time to verify. Thanks.

I just read the FedEx website and they specifically say there are no other surcharges associated with One Rate other than anything you may need extra such as insurance or signature.
They also don't really clarify you can use your own box, but our FedEx rep gave us all this info last week. I would suggest you call your rep just to confirm your account is setup for this (which it sounds like it is, as you're seeing these rates).

Thank you for that information @Seller_dDZbHN4FcE6oc. I confirmed that FedEx recently enabled One Rate pricing for additional packaging sizes beyond FeEx-provided options, but I am still sharing this and related information with our partner team to confirm that Buy shipping is working as expected.

"While FedEx One Rate has already been available on Amazon Buy Shipping, it's more accessible now. As long as your package dimensions are within the One Rate package type range, One Rate shipping options will be available to you for predictable shipping costs that don't require calculating."

It does appear from what the people at FedEx are saying and everything I can find on it that it is really cubic inch based and that the fact that some packages I send are 97 inches long doesn't cause an issue. I did have the representative enter in a shipment I am interested in sending tomorrow, however, and we got some wonky results. The dimensions of the box are 97 x 4 x 4 lbs, weighing 12 lbs. On the Amazon Buy Shipping page, it shows the price at $28.85 for FedEx 2Day One Rate. When he entered the same details on his side, he shows a price on my account (which is linked on Amazon) of $97.00 or so, certainly a big difference. Looking at what the rates should be at a document on the FedEx site, though, it aligns with the rate am getting on the Amazon Buy Shipping page. I might just try a single package to start and then verify what I get billed before proceeding. I just want to make sure that I don't expect to pay under $30 and get billed over $90 on a bunch of packages.

The item in question is 97 in x 4 in x 4 in and 12 pounds and you are looking to ship it FedEx 2Day One Rate:
- Amazon Buy Shipping: $28.85 label cost.
- FedEx Website info: $28.85 label cost.
- Linked Account Rate per FedEx Rep: $97

It's on the page "FedEx One Rate®: flat rate shipping made easy". I would include the link, but since it's not an Amazon link I don't think I am supposed to do that. It actually lists the price at $32.50 as opposed to $28.85, but it's pretty close. I think the $32.50 is the quoted price if I get the quote from Veeqo, but I seem to be getting quoted a little better rate with my account attached through Amazon. I don't know why the rep was showing such a higher amount on his side, but for all I know it was some error of his. I've decided to send the order out today and then wait to see what I get billed to verify. Once I get the bill from FedEx I'll let you know what happens.

I see the same thing if I do a manual shipment on Fedex.com, but Buy Shipping and Ship Manager gives me the One Rates.

Hi @KJ_Amazon. I just saw the pending charge show up on my credit card from FedEx for the shipment I sent. They did bill me the $28.85 which was quoted through Amazon, not the $97 that the rep said he was seeing, and thank goodness not the over $600 that the regular FedEx 2-Day shipping showed. It's amazing to me that depending on if you choose One Rate or not, for the same service, the price difference is $28.85 for one and over $600 for the other. I'm really happy to see this, though, it will really help me to be able to affordably deliver to customers in a timely and reliable manner. Now I need to set up a FedEx daily pickup. :)
