Customer doesn't want to return item despite refund

A few days ago we had a strange experience. There was an order on Self ship worth AED 1,609.97 and we delivered to customer via a third party courier. But customer asked for return this order and he got full amount refunded on 25th October. We were unaware of the refund requested through Amazon and the return automatic authorization. Because normally there is no auto authorization from amazon for Self ship orders. So we found this return and refund on November only and we asked the customer for return the items, we kept ready courier team from our side to collect the items from customer location. Unfortunately the customer didn't want to return the item because he said we were late to pick up the items and he already used it. Then we complained on seller support but amazon didnt help us because its a Self ship order. We tried to contact customer through seller-buyer option but customer is not responding, even with phone numbers. so help us to find a solution. Thanks.

go to the police and file a complaint becuase if amazon isnt doing anything that would be the best thing to do as the customer is clearly trying to scam you

go to the police and file a complaint becuase if amazon isnt doing anything that would be the best thing to do as the customer is clearly trying to scam you
