Booksellers - how does a collector get rid of hardcover books?
I am a seller of glass products… we are retiring and downsizing our home … I have thousands of paperbacks and 200 or so hardcover books from 1970’s to when I switched to my first nook reader in 2009… I have NO interest in selling one by one on Amazon… so how do I sell them off?

Donate. Recycle. Craig's List. Put related books together and sell in lots on eBay.

Amazon charges an extra fee per item on books. Other platforms are better suited. Bundling is a good idea, as @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6blmentioned. You can also take boxes over to a place like Half Price Books and see what kind of offers they give you. I like them when my time is worth more than the effort.

I am usually disappointed at Half Price Books offers. About 20 years ago took a sealed collection of high quality classical cd's (yes there is such a thing) and they offered me 10¢ each. I took them home and sold them on Amazon for $10 to $20 each.

Half-Payment Books, you mean? You might get enough money to cover the gas you used driving there.

If you're not a collector, but is someone who has amassed a number of books, you'll die with all of them still on abe, Ebay, etc. Donate, donate donate.

There are still a few online entities that will buyback cds & books and give you solid coin for your trouble (.50 to $3.00) for things that sell online for under $6. I try not to sell anything under $9 unless I cannot trade them in somewhere.

I might be interested in helping to sell. maybe also go to libraries, book stores , there might be a reseller just like what you have might be helpful. curious what city and state you're in.

They may not have much value. You could try a used bookshop hear or or try selling on FB Marketplace or Craigslist in bulk. Otherwise, donate to a local charity booksale - the value of the tax deduction for the donation might be worth more than what you would actually get for them.

If you want to sell them at low prices at Amazon, you may try Social Media Promotions or Outlet Deal. If you try any of these options there are high chances that you would be able to sell off all the inventory.

call your local used book store.
or sell them yourself on ebay.
or donate to your local library

Here's what I would do. Take a day or two and go through your books on Amazon. Set aside any that are worth dealing with. Say, minimum value of $20 or$25 (or whatever you think). Donate the rest and sell the better ones on Amazon or Ebay. If you have a grandchild close by, you might have them do this for a slice of the profits.
