Associated with other Amazon accounts

Hi all

About 18 months ago I signed up for an Amazon seller account on Amazon UK, at the time I was forced to register seller accounts in other Amazon marketplaces too.

Then my account get's deactivated because I was found to be 'associated with other accounts'.

I have send umpteen messages to support, and send 'submissions' but it seems like every answer I get is from a bot.

There seems not be no way to actually contact a human at Amazon support.

Any suggestions as to what I can try?

Thanjs

what do you mean you were forced to open other accounts too?? There is one account covering Uk/eu countries. You cannot open just a Uk account (this stopped many years ago).

I have made 8 submissions to them and just keep going around in circles.

Hi, I haven't paid for anything yet. I signed up for the account myself.

According to the drop down list in my dashboard I am registered for about 11 countries, with others pending. There's no way I signed up for all of them individually.

I tried to contact Amazon Seller Support yesterday, but it's not possible to contact them by phone apparently, so I was put through to some other team that I can't remember the name of. She eventually sent me a link by email to contact seller support, I tried to log in via this link while I was on the phone to her, and the SMS verification didn't come. And then it said 'You have had too many SMS verifications sent' and the lady I told me I have to wait 24 hours to try again.

Today I managed to email Seller Support, and I get an instant email saying that the email is not the correct place to send an appeal. So now I am back to square one, with the online appeal option that I cannot accurately describe my problem with, hence it fails time after time.

I've been told that my UK account is associated with another account, and the name of the account they give? Exactly the same as my UK account!

you have signed up to a global account instead of the uk/eu one then. I’m afraid you must have done this as Amazon wouldn’t do this- I agree it is rather confusing. This cannot now be changed by either yourself or Amazon-you need to get through verification in every country then put all the ones you don’t want into inactive (holiday mode). You can only do this once verification is complete in every country.

Also go into account settings and make sure you are on the individual plan and not professional plan - to avoid monthly charges coming through.

Thanks

I completed registration on all the Amazon websites, and then put them all into holiday mode apart from the UK. It took my a long time, as I had to add credit cards and bank accounts to these accounts.

Now when I try to reactivate my account it's asking me for a utility bill.

The utilities listed here are not paid by myself at this property, is there anything else I can provide, like a bank statement?

The utility bill is required for your residential address as registered on Amazon. The “business license” required is your company UTR from HMRC (or if a limited company then it’s your company ref from Companies House.

My question was: Can I use another document instead? It would seem ludicrous that I cannot be a seller because my landlord pays the bills on the property. When I registered a long time ago, I believe I already sent them a verified copy of a bank statement with an official stamp from the bank.

I have no intention of being a business seller for now, I only wanted to sell some stuff from around the house.

you would be better off with eBay if you are not here as a business. You can only sell used goods as an individual.

Amazon are legally required to check your info and for that they need to verify you and your address. Some have said they will accept a mobile phone bill in your name and address but they haven’t come back to say if that worked. Maybe try submitting your rental agreement?

They have already checked my address which they have accepted. before they asked me for a bank statement which I supplied, I even got it stamped at my bank. Why is a bank statement and the fact that I am on the electoral roll not sufficient evidence to prove I live at an address?

I do not have a mobile phone contract, neither do i have a rental agreement

Hi

Last time I tried to solve this issue I put all my countries into 'holiday mode' and that seemed to have triggered a document request. I now have the document available but the request has gone.

My account has been deactivated for over a year and there seems to be zero customer support.

If there's a customer support agent available in these forums then please reply

Thanks
