Preventing Returns using Evri

Hi,

We ship using Royal Mail (DX for long or heavy items). When a customer returns an order they sometimes come back using Evri. A lot of these do not make it back to us. We would never use Evri as it is way too problematic and does not give the customer a great experience. I have asked Amazon support but they just keep directing me to Safe-t claims.

Is there a way to either stop returns coming back with Evri or stopping Amazon refunding the order until it is back with us (they refund the customer as soon as it is picked up)?

Thanks

Fred

You can't stop Evri via the Prepaid Return Label Scheme.

You can however opt out of the Amazon Prepaid Return Label Scheme (and by extension the Refund at First Scan system). To opt out - you have to contact Seller SUpport. Some sellers are saying that Seller Support state you can't opt out of APRL. Which is rubbish - its right here that you can.

This then means you would need to either approve or reject all return requests for FBM orders.

You would then need to refund all returns within two working days of the return.

Note you can dedcut from the refund for damaged or materially different returns - though the customer can then open an A-Z claim for the remainder, which you would then need to fight.
