An example of how VTR is working now using click and drop

Posting my experience in case it is of help to anyone.

I previously posted via Amazon’s buy postage 2nd class standard. Two weeks ago my VTR showed 68 orders, 0 valid tracking, 0% VTR score.

I changed to using a non-business click and drop account integrated with my Amazon acct and bought second class post via that.

I’ve sold 37 orders since then. My VTR tracking shows 0 tracked orders, 0 total orders, VTR score N/A - so all click and drop orders correctly showing exempt.

So I can confirm buying first and second class postage via click and drop integrated with Amazon generates exempt orders for VTR

So, choosing a service that has zero tracking is fine with Amazon.

But if you had chosen 24/48 tracking and the postie omitted to scan on delivery then you would have been penalised and eventually kicked off Amazon for not reaching the impossible 95%.

Clown world.

Mine says OLP2 if it’s just standard second, they have qr codes and the id code above but not used on large letters

The code Click and Drop is giving me is OLP2.

so I can confirm that using click and drop code OLP2 and allowing click and drop to auto confirm despatched is EXEMPTED FOR VTR.

So I have my C&D business account linked up with Amazon and you’re telling me that in order to achieve the VTR I should connect up a personal C&D account? If so, what is the purpose of having a Royal Mail C&D business account as this provides businesses with slightly cheaper postage rates and I don’t see the benefit in using a personal account other than achieving the VTR, obviously I will do it if it means getting over 95% VTR but I don’t see why we should have too. It just seems like they haven’t properly integrated the metrics correctly as it shouldn’t really matter whether its a personal account or a business account, but, it clearly is showing some effect on it overall. Any help is appreciated as I’m currently using my business account and using CRL24/48 and I’m still being marked down on VTR even though the valid tracking numbers are being uploaded to Amazon orders automatically.

I have disconnected Click and Drop auto dispatch and now manually mark all orders dispatched and choose 2nd Class without any tracking.

I still import them in with C&D and still use RM48. I just dont let C&D auto dispatch.

I have kept my eye on it and every order I have done this on has been excluded from the VTR calculation so far for the current calculation period.

I still get the delivery confirmation which would be ignored by Amazon anyway in an A-Z.

Started end of March. So far no wheres my item queries.

My VTR jumped to 83% overnight (from 70% yesterday). I am manually confirming in Seller Central, using the “Other” (Royal Mail) // “Other” (Signed For) // Tracking (NL+++++++++GB)

Perhaps someone may be able to confirm this for me (with their own experience)?

We hold a RM Business Account, we use Click & Drop, currently our channels are integrated and for Amazon our orders are marked as dispatched once the label is generated AND the delivery confirmation/tracking reference is automatically sent over.

CRL clearly will not work for us due to the scan rate, I’ve seen/heard that BPL could work, but for parcels which is all we send it still generates a tracking reference which can be used to check to see if it is delivered, therefore I assume this will also be affected by the scan rate of the posties?

Currently it is populating the fields on Amazon as ‘Royal Mail’ ‘Royal Mail 2nd Class’ but then the tracking reference is populated.

Am I right in saying this also wont help our VTR, unless we ensure that the tracking reference isn’t populated?

Hi, Thank you for this update. How did you integrate non-business royal mail click and drop with your Amazon account? i thought that was only possible with Royal Mail business accounts?

If you can provide a guide or link that would be great.
Thank you

OPL1 is working fine for us with click and drop, just be sure to not select “Upload delivery confirmation to channel” in the settings.

I am using CRL on buy shipping through Amazon and thought after watching the webinar that this was going to be OK. Am i now wrong in thinking this?
