UPS Rate Spike - For FBA Shipments

Has anyone notice a huge spike in UPS shipping rates for FBA to Amazon? We typically pay $15-25 per box. Amazon is showing $40-85 per box as the preferred carrier.

Seems to be happening across the board. Rates have gone up x 3. Higher than using our own UPS account. Hoping it is a glitch.

I just paid $74.98 for a 47lb box to TMB8, but my 59lb shipment which was a 2 box shipment to LBE1 was only $22.64. How does that make any sense? Im shipping from NY. I get it LBE1 is in Pennsylvania which is closer but how can it cost me triple to ship from NY to Miami? This is redic.

UPS has been having issues with their API's for the last couple of days.

I would try to hold off few hours to ship the orders till their API gets back in order.

FBA send to Amazon shipping cost doubled?

Hello from Selling Partner Services. Some sellers reported seeing temporarily higher inbound rates for UPS partnered carrier shipments.

One suggestion for sellers asking about these rates is to cancel your workflow(s) within 24 hours of creation so that you are not charged for the transportation cost. You can then recreate the workflow with the lower UPS pricing.

Please be sure to relabel shipments accordingly and destroy the previously created labels.

This is not just an Amazon / UPS Amazon issue. Its happening to many, if not all customers who get their rates via API.

Happened yesterday and then appeared to be fixed yesterday afternoon only to have the rates go up again this morning.

Most of us do our shipments in the morning, just when the rates go up; hmmmmm?

Save yourself cash and stop using FBA and start fulfilling your orders yourself.

Just like the new incorrect pricing tiers Amazon just implemented for all USPS costing 60-90 cents more per order than if you buy shipping for any other site. Maybe it's Amazons way of covering all the mail fraud they are expecting this holiday Season due to their policies and all this makes us so glad we have been ramping up ebay and other platforms all year as the push to eliminate amazon continues. Everyone should simply stop shipping FBA for a week and see how fast they change it otherwise they may just say its the new anomaly if y'all keep paying it.

at the time i really didn't have a choice but to accept the inflated rates and ship a few boxes.

Anyone heard if UPS will be doing anything to backtrack and reimburse those effect otherwise i just lost like $120 on some BS lol.

Sounds like it isnt Amazons fault
