Switching from RM to Yodel

So after a small bit of research I’ve found Yodel to be cheaper for sending parcels - so before I make the change from Royal Mail to Yodel I’d like to know how other sellers have found Yodel? If you’ve ever had to make a claim how easy is the process? If you’ve had to contact their customer service team through webchat or by phone have they resolved your issue promptly?

I’ve sent a couple of parcels by Yodel just to experiment with them but this would ultimately be a long term move rather than short term.

Any feedback you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I use Yodel for all my parcels up to 1kg, (over 1kg and RM is cheaper), and for anything that needs insurance cover up to £50 as cheaper than RM - their standard compensation cover is up to £50 for all parcels at no extra charge, though you can increase it to whatever the value is.
I still send all my LL size by RM as cheaper.
I have had no problems with them at all - never had to make a claim and never had to contact them - been using them for a couple of years now at least, and no claims of INR.
I had just one instance where there was a delay in delivery, but did arrive eventually and the customer was very understanding…

Some say that YODEL actually stands for:

Your
Order
Delivered
Extremely
Late

(Not knocking yodel, i’ve never used them personally, just thought it’d cheer people up :joy:)

Hi Jilly, do you book these through Yodel direct or go through P2G? Do they upload to Amazon for the VTR?

Has anyone tried using the company ’ the delivery group’. They do the collection and sorting and then pass off to yodel for delivery. There rates smash Royal mail for small packets and large boxes.
But as always, nervous about switching

I’ve used Yodel for a little while when P2G put Evri’s price up. so I ordered Yodel from P2G and dropped the parcels off to the local shop, but unfortunately some of the parcels not been collected on time ( several days after I dropped off) and they just get ignored and piled up in the shop’s corner. This may only happens at my local shop, not sure others, but even though I’d rather pay more with RM for a better timescale.

You need to be carful with
When you have dropped them at a shop check it to make sure these are picked up same or next day.
If not let P2P or Yodel Direct as soon as you can otherwise can stay at the shop for many days.
