When is a card not a card?
I found today that one of my greeting card listings has been changed to a clothing listing, is suppressed because it doesn’t have the ‘color’ field filled and all the other fields are about fabric, sleeves, buttons, etc.
Only I sell these cards (and I have brand waivers), as they are designed and manufactured by me. The listing has been live since Oct 2019 with no problems. But now, I get this -
PS. ‘Part number’ field is missing from this template, but on the other card listings.
Anyone had anything similar? I know listing hijacking has been a problem, but I doubt it’s that. All the card details are there - B07YX3C18F - but nearly every day I find something has been changed by Amazon on my listings. If it’s not the description, it’s the title. If it’s not the title it’s a new field that’s totally irrelevant and not in the template (had one card advertised as sold by the metre!). Made a few posts about that before. It’s not malicious, just Amz/bots thinking they are improving listings I think.
Anyway - I have sent a message to SS and tried to be as clear & concise as possible. But I know already what I’m going to get back.
I can go in and edit the listing from Manage Inventory. But in Fix Your Products I get -
I’d rather not delete and start again and lose the sales rank and reviews (admittedly not many).
If SS come back with their usual, any advice for how to word or explain this situation to them so they get it and I can get the suppression lifted? TIA

Got to laugh. The reply -
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention, rest assured that this has been thoroughly reviewed to provide you with the correct resolution. We have checked and found the ASIN is suppressed as the Color attribute is not updated.”
Their solution - I’ve to provide the colour.

Now it’s “It appears that the ASIN is not active in Amazon’s catalog”.
Any mods on that can help??

And the reply I got completely missed the point. Again. Hence why I didn’t bother. And now I’m in a loop again trying to explain to someone that a card is not clothing.

Still going round in circles. Now I have to screenshot the error I get when trying to update a field that doesn’t even exist in the template for that product.

@Julia_Amazon please god get me out of this. I shouldn’t have messaged seller support in the first place. I’m now in an endless loop of people who are not understanding a simple issue. It’s ridiculous.

Funny how each time you mention the MDs office, your case gets passed to a “concerned team to get a resolution” when all you’re trying to explain is that a greeting card is not made of 100% cotton and you can’t update a field that’s not there. GGGMS!
