This ASIN has GTIN codes that do not match the brand associated to the ASIN

About 5 weeks ago around 300 of our listings were removed from Amazon for the following reason:

“This ASIN has GTIN codes that do not match the brand associated to the ASIN. GTIN codes are reliable data that are used to limit duplicate products in the catalogue and ensure product authenticity. We verify the authenticity of GTINs by checking the GS1 database and GTINs that do not match information in GS1 are considered invalid. We recommend obtaining your GTINs directly from GS1 (and not from other third parties selling GTIN licences) to ensure the appropriate information is reflected in the GS1 database.”

All of the products in question have GS1 barcodes that match our brand name. We have been selling these products for years with no issues.

We have opened various cases with Amazon and submitted our GS1 certificates as proof, plus screenshots from GS1 showing the EAN matches the brand name that we have used, yet Amazon keep closing the cases stating that there is no issue.

The strange thing is, we can create a product with an unused EAN number from our GS1 database, but if we use an existing EAN number, it immediately gets suspended stating that the above, that the brand name doesn’t match the EAN.

We have contacted GS1 and they have stated there are no issues at their end, and it’s an Amazon issue.

We are at a total loss of what to do here, as above, we can’t create a new listing with the old EAN, and we don’t want to create 300 new products with new barcode numbers as we will lose all our reviews.

Can anyone help?
