For example, if I send inventory to an FBA fulfillment center in the United States, would Amazon be able to internally transfer some of those products to an FBA fulfillment center in Canada?
If such a service is available, I would greatly appreciate any details on the process, costs, and requirements involved. If not, I would also appreciate guidance on the best approach to manage international inventory distribution efficiently.

According to this help page, under the FAQ section: "You may not ship your inventory directly from our US fulfillment centers to our fulfillment centers in Canada or Mexico." However, you have a couple of options for selling internationally:
Remote Fulfillment with FBA might be worth looking into. You can find details at this help page. This program lets you sell to customers in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil using your existing US inventory - no need to send separate inventory to those countries. You'll need to be a Professional seller with a North America Unified Account and FBA Export enabled. Just keep in mind that some products (like restricted items and dangerous goods) aren't eligible for this program.
Alternatively, you could consider traditional international FBA. The help page at this link explains that you can ship inventory directly to fulfillment centers in other countries. Under the "Sending inventory to an Amazon fulfillment center" section, it outlines what you'll need to handle:
- Importing products into each country where you want to sell
- Acting as the importer of record
- Complying with local laws and regulations
- Managing import taxes, customs duties, and fees
