Christmas Day

Does Amazon expect us to be dispatching on Christmas Day??? All of my items are late dispatch now as they should have been dispatched on Chirstmas Day. I thought this was a bank holiday? Any ideas? Now all my items are having to go out 24 tracked to hit timings and I'm making no profit.

Something odd has happened this year as we had orders that had to be shipped by Boxing Day, which is not technically possible as couriers don't collect and Amazon class this as a holiday.

Maybe somebody from Amazon can explain what is going on, as when we tried the 'bot' told us to go on holiday mode which did not answer the question.

Set up account holiday settings over the festive season

If you’re taking time off over the festive season, or planning to work on public holidays, we recommend these simple steps to protect your Fulfilled by Merchant order performance metrics.

Set up holiday mode

Set your account to holiday mode to avoid missing orders that could affect your performance. This setting temporarily removes your Fulfilled by Merchant listings from Amazon product detail pages and search results.

To set up holiday mode, go to the Shop status and holiday settings page.

For more information, go to Listing status for holidays and other absences.

Manage your holiday settings

If you plan to send Fulfilled by Merchant orders on public holidays, go to the Holidays widget in Seller Central to override predefined holidays and change them to an “operating day”.

To override a public holiday, go to the Holidays page.

Note: Allow up to four hours for any change in holiday settings change to be reflected in your delivery promise and orders received.

For more information, including how to revert operating days to holidays, go to Manage holiday settings.
