Is tracking required on low cost orders?

We are wanting to add 2 products to our Amazon store that will be $5.95 or less. They are lightweight and can be shipped with a first class stamp. This is not FBA but is fulfilled by us. Are we required to provide a tracking number? If so, how do people sell low cost items when tracking would be as much or more than the item? Thank you for your help!

In theory, you can skip tracking if the order total is under $10 (that's item plus shipping).

When you confirm, be sure to choose the correct courier/service (I think Amazon calls is standard letter or something similar)

Know that without tracking, you must refund immediately, without quibble, for any claim of non-receipt.

The REAL question is --

Do you have enough profit margin built in to be able to afford the number of INR claims that you WILL be hit with as a new seller? What @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6blnoted about refunds is the truth -- Amazon doesn't even consider 'delivered' as proof for shipments.

If you are, in fact, new to Amazon study Seller U, read MORE of the Forum and buckle up and wear protective gear -- it can be a rough ride.

A tracking number would definitely protect you. Aside from any claims, customers like tracking their package. Thank you @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl and @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp for the advice! Did this help you decide @Seller_yVYwYtpT8rlTu?
