Customer never returned their refunded item, are we not reimbursed for the original purchase price?
I've been looking around but can't seem to find a clear answer on this, so any insight would be awesome.
I have multiple customers that were refunded the full price of the item but never returned it. I was reimbursed, but only for the return shipping cost plus a few extra dollars, assuming to help cover the landed cost of the product (even though it's always still short of the total landed cost).
..But that aside, what happens to the original cost the customer paid? They keep that AND the product?

Hello @Seller_DPetgMN6a9UZU
To answer your question, it depends on the circumstances surrounding the transaction. Below is a link to help you better understand the impact of the different circumstances.
It could have been an nonreturnable item. Or, there could have been an A-to-z claim. It could have been that you did not refund in a timely manner. In which case Amazon might refund the customer on your behalf and charge the amount to your seller account.
