Buy shipping and Royal Mail business account

Around three-quarters of our listings have been suspended because we were using Royal Mail First and Second Class large letter, and Amazon will no long accept it under the VTR. We now have use Buy Shipping through Amazon, but to use that we have to have a Royal Mail business account. But to get a Royal Mail business account, you have to send more than 20 packages a week. Our business is very seasonal, and most of our best sellers are in FBA, so there will be long periods where we aren't sending that many packages through Royal Mail.

We've thought about sending most of our stuff up to FBA, especially Small and Light for the smaller items, but we've hit the storage limits in the past, and have had to get slower selling items returned.

Anyone got any ideas how we can sell our slower selling items on Amazon Handmade. Evri isn't an option as it costs too much for pick up, and there isn't a depot near us for drop off. We seem to be in a perfect catch 22 cos we can't just post things out to people now. The really annoying thing is hardly anything went missing, so it was all working well until Amazon moved the goal posts.

First and Second class large letters are fine for VTR, so long as the info is entered correctly.

You need to post a screen shot of your VTR defect report so we can figure out what's gone wrong.

You don't need a Royal Mail business account to use Buy Shipping, either. You only need that if you're trying to use services like RM24 or RM24 Tracked. If you're just buying first class or second class large letter postage, you can do that without a Business account.

Small and Light doesn't exist anymore.

No you don't. You just buy RM 1st or 2nd Class through Amazon buy shipping and the cost comes out of your Amazon balance.

We use Amazon buy shipping for all our orders, using RM 2nd Class LL and we don't have an RM business account.

Hey,

We had a very similar issue , we opedned a Royal Mail business account ( may be worth seeing what they can do for you even with you sending a small ammount)

A lot of our orders were 2nd class letter and large letters , we was using Royal Mail online to buy all our postage but out VTR was still not where it should be. After speaking to Royal Mail they said Amazon are happy for you to send as letters or large letters as long as you buy it on Amazon , we done this and our VTR Is now at 100%!

Also Amazon have sadly got rid of the small and light programm , they now only offer a lower fba for the smaller items but its still quite exspensive!
