Return For Found Better Price but wants Replacement item shipped. Do What???

I am completely lost on this one....

Customer purchased item a week ago. Opens return today as BETTER PRICE AVAILABLE, on a $28 item, no problem, we are the lowest on the but whatever, but they have requested a replacement item on the return. WHAT??? Do they realize they have to pay return shipping cost to ship item back like $6 on the item since Better Price is buyer faulted and buyer has that deducted from the return cost. What is logic in asking for replacement item since I will most likely just put same item right back in the box and ship it back to them once it is returned and they are going to be paying even more for the replacement item since they are paying the shipping costs also of the return. I dont understand the whole process of this. Please enlighten me to the logic behind this....

Odd.. I didn't think they had the option to choose a replacement for the return code of, "Better price available". It certainly doesn't make any sense, I agree. Go figure. Every time I've ever had anyone choose the replacement option, it is because they don't know what they are doing and they put me in a position of having to re-send them the exact same item that they just returned which had nothing wrong with it and was exactly as described. It really is a situation of receiving their return and just sending it right back to them. Way to cut down those carbon emissions, Amazon!

Hi @Seller_WVzHFA6EjPZX3, this is an odd one on the surface, indeed. Has there been any communication from the customer?
