Re-verification taking months

Hi fellow sellers.

As we are no different to any other seller, we have been offered a loan from Amazon and even before we’ve had a chance to consider that, we’ve been put under re-verification… in August.

Fast forward to 22nd November, where in between we’ve had no communication exchanged with verification team, finally on that day we’ve been told that our documents provided are older than 90 days (and yes, you have guessed it right, when we’ve uploaded them, these were very fresh, but Amazon was hogging them for more than 90 days for no reason), and because our provided documents are past due, we need to provide new set of these, and in the mean time we can no longer disburse our money until the re-verification is done.
As a responsible business, we have provided requested documents within an hour from the request, and since then no update or communication has been made.
We can still sell, but with no access to any money from our sales here on Amazon, we can last for only so long…

now, reading all the horror stories about people not being able to access any money for the months, I wonder if I should start letting my employees go or wait (It seems like great idea from Amazon to withhold our money on the run up to Christmas, can’t fault that logic) until I will have to go bust.

Now the actual questions for the conversation…

Did any of you fellow sellers get recently re-verified and regained access to the money held?
If yes, how long did it take in the end?
If no, did you consider legal action against Amazon for pushing your business into collapsing?

Same situation with my with a very large balance on hold. I think i can last another 2 weeks.

Sadly same here. I imagine it can be a busy period but they need to consider the possibility of people going bust if they don’t speed up the process.

Its borderline illegal the way Amazon treat their loyal sellers, on here you’re guilty until proven innocent, its an utter disgrace not to mention all the stress it brings…

Just a quick update.

2 weeks have passed and no progress has been made on our review…

Despite sending number of strong worded emails to review team and managing director, they continue to ignore us.
Sad days are about to come for our employees as we will soon be forced to let them all go, just in time for Christmas.

I suggest everyone starts posting on social media tagging amazon, regarding this unethical behaviour and lack of accountability. If everyone’s accounts are being re-verified then there is either a glitch or an intentional delay to hold onto our payouts which would amount to very large interest for Amazon…

It is somewhat relieving that we are not the only ones going through this process, however it is very sad that this does not give any hope to us.
It has been 9 business days for us, tomorrow will be the 10th day. Funds are held by Amazon, however this is a very sensitive time of the year with Christmas and New Year approaching, and we desperately need access to our funds.
We have tried emailing the verification team, we have made many calls to Amazon Seller support, however we have not received any updates…
