Funds are being held
Hello,
We are currently going through a situation were all our funds are being held and are being placed into the account reserve, we had our account under review few weeks ago but we have expedited this and they have reinstated our account, but our funds were still on hold, I tried to contact amazon and they have said that they will escalate this but still haven't heard anything back.
we have contacted the disbursements team but got no response
we are in need of our funds to be able to operate our business as we currently not getting any cashflow.
If anyone can offer us some advice on what to do as we have checked all our bank accounts and everything is ticked green, there is no issue with the account so we don't know what it is going on, no one is giving us a indication on why our funds are being held.

Heard this happen before, no idea how they get away with it but unfortunately I don't know a quick fix. It can drag on for months not weeks, relying on getting a quick response through here I doubt will happen so I would get some legal advice on this with the terms of selling agreement ready. Good Luck

Good Morning and i am sorry to hear your current situation. The exact same thing happened to us earlier this year and unfortunately there is no easy answer. For us, it was just a matter of waiting (around 2-3 weeks) and it automatically sorted itself out. Trying to get an answer off Amazon on the situation is almost impossible i'm afraid.

Is this to do with the Base Reserve policy called "Delivery Date Based Reserve," or “DD+7.” This means that your funds will be available for disbursement according to the delivery date of a shipment, plus seven days.
If prior to your account review you were on the old disbursement policy where you can disburse every 24hrs but they have now changed you to this Delivery Date + 7 days you will find that your funds are in the account reserve. In theory the funds should start being released as you hit the 7 days +, Amazon say that this should be around 2 weeks after the order has been paid for.
I had an issue back in the summer where they automatically change my disbursement policy to this and it caused me a massive headache, as with you, I need the cash flow. My issue was that I had funds still being held well past the delivery date + 7 days.
I reached out to Amazon and got no direct response to my questions, however a few days later they reverted my account back and put a notice on my disbursement page explaining they have reinstated the old policy until Jan 31st 2024 when I will have to start using DD+7 and that I should take this time to prepare. I am not really sure how I can prepare for the eventuality that Amazon will just keep my money and I still have not been told why, that after the 7 days, funds were not being released. So I am very concerned about what will happen at the end of Jan next year.
