Upcoming change to customer payments on Amazon.co.uk

Starting 19 January, 2022, we will no longer accept any Visa credit cards issued in the UK, due to the high fees Visa charges for processing credit card transactions. Customers can still use debit cards (including Visa debit cards) and non-Visa credit cards like Mastercard, Amex, and EuroCard to make purchases.

This change relates to customer payments only. As an Amazon store seller you can continue to use Visa credit cards to pay for any outstanding balances.

Should you receive any customer inquiries related to the upcoming changes, direct the customer to contact Amazon Customer Service using the Contact Us (sign-in required).

Sales are down compared to previous years leading up to Christmas as it is. Without telling half the country they can’t use their credit cards.

Idiotic. As a small retailer I pay way under 1% for Visa credit cards. This is just PURE GREED on the part of the scummy Amazon corporation.

Amazon completely out of touch with the real world, as per usual.
