Selling Yankee Candels

Hey there I’m just wondering if anyone can help me. I’m planning to sell Yankee candles via fba. I’m eligible to sell it. Is it a good idea or can I have any legal problems later or even amazon will suspend my seller account ? I don’t really want any problem at all.
Thank you

If you’re buying wholesale directly from Yankee or one of their approved distributors and you have a letter of authorisation to sell them on Amazon then you’ll be fine.

You have to be approved by the Brand.
Assuming that you are, then there should be no reason why you should have any problems.

yes, as others have stated - as long as you buy from Yankee directly that’s fine. I would also make sure you have the letter of authorisation from them in your hand BEFORE you list.
And to be doubly sure you might want to list them as FBM before sending all your stock to FBA warehouse that way if there are any delays in checking your authorisation, you won’t have any worries of removal orders etc

Yankee protect their brand online. As a Yankee account holder for almost 20 years; I can strongly advise you NOT to list on Amazon

Thank you for your help guys. I’ve Seen only mf sellers on all the Yankee candles is that mean they have no authorisation letter from Yankee to sell it ?

Oh alright I see better if I just skip on this one then. I thought it works same way as selling Lego or Nike or any other brand on amazon

I have a friend who has been a yankee reseller for many years and Yankee recently wrote to all their resellers advising them that they are NOT allowed to sell yankee products via Amazon, Ebay, etc.

If your intention is to sell on Amazon, Yankee will not give you authorisation - for what it’s worth, to get an account with Yankee you HAVE to have a retail shop. They will not sell to online only retailers.

I contacted Yankee a few years ago and they would only supply me if I had a physical retail store which they insisted on visiting before I could place an order.

I’d be surprised if there was any money to be made buying from Yankee and using FBA given that Amazon already sell the product. Unless you’re buying liquidation stock you’re unlikely to be able to get a better deal than Amazon do.
