Anyone else have ALL USPS postage refunds REJECTED on Amazon shipping?

In the last 6 months we've had every single USPS postage refund request via 'Amazon shipping' rejected for 'item is in the mainstream', presumably using the excuse that it's on a scan form as soon as it's printed. We just got one where we had printed a label for $19, noticed it was actually expedited shipping, and IMMEDIATELY requested the refund and printed a new label...now months later we get a rejection notice from Amazon.

Is there no recourse for this? just another new way for Amazon and the carriers to rip off sellers? like the thousands of dollars in 'carrier adjustments' for return labels isn't enough....

Are you presenting the scan sheet form when dropping off at USPS to be scanned by USPS?

If so, is the postage to be refunded on this scan sheet form?

If the postage to be refunded is on the scan sheet form, we would not use the scan sheet form when dropping off at USPS because, when USPS scans that form, USPS believes that everything on the scan sheet form is being dropped off for shipping and the 'item is in the mainstream' because it is part of the scan sheet form once the scan sheet form is scanned.

A very old problem. Amazon doesn't remove canceled labels from the end of day scan sheet, so the USPS thinks that the labels have been used. I complained multiple times and nothing happened.

Amazon has made it abundantly clear that they do NOT accept "Scan-Sheets" as a valid form of Proof of Transfer from the Seller to the Carrier.

If you use a Scan-Sheet AND the Buyer Claims INR, you WILL Lose the A-Z Claim.

This is also true of "Self-Serve Kiosks" and "Drop-Boxes" as well.

Amazon ONLY accepts the first physical scan by the Carrier as valid Proof.

You have now been advised.

Good Luck!

Perhaps it might be a Good Idea to Slow-Down when processing the Postage, at least enough to make SURE things are correct BEFORE hitting the "Buy Shipping" button, whichever shipping method you are using.

Based on the fact that you were able to Cancel the original and then purchase a SECOND (different) shipping label strongly suggests that you are NOT using Amazon Buy Shipping. If this is true, you are leaving yourself wide-open to Losses whenever a Buyer claims INR, even IF the package displays as "Delivered". Just an F.Y.I.
