I suppose I assumed it was an actual Brand name, but didn't care enough to research it.

But, if it is, why don't we get emails about changes to all Brand listings?

I got one about MARVEL as well. Since I don't meet the requirement of having hundreds of the same product for sale my listings will be closed. Which ones? No one tells you. I have 5 thousand listings. How do I know which ones are Universal or Marvel? No one tells you. Amazon really doesn't value the third party sellers at all. They offer no help and just send out blanket emails. After all, we are competition for them. I am sure there will be more brands to follow.

I'm assuming it is Universal (as in Studios, Music). I received one too and another about Marvel products. Another Amazon move to harm small sellers and give the bigger sellers advantages.

Marvel Comics monthly comics are out of print 60 days after release. Does the delisting of Marvel Comics include all of the out of print comics? Many of the older Marvel Graphic Novels and Tradepaperbacks are out of print as well.

Good question. Not only did I get the e-mail yesterday, but I got the same e-mail today, 24 hours later. So I'm wondering if this is just another Amazon mistake or ill-thought-out plan (like most). In theory, does it apply to Universal as in Universal Studios (owned by NBCUniversal), etc., or to Universal Companies, who sell Spa & Salon supplies, or something else?

This has minimal, if any impact on us. We have one MCA CD in our inventory and it's still online today past the noted deadline. We have one book by published by "Universal Church of the Master" which as any human can tell, has no relationship to Universal entertainment companies, but with Amazon's 3rd-rate programmers & bots, who knows?

Curious how this plays out, even if not really relevant for us.

The 2nd email was edited.

If you are Fulfilled by Merchant, it was previously stated that you had until Feb 26th to fulfill orders. The updated email changed it to March 13th 2025. After that all offers will be removed...

Yesterday's email was directed to Amazon Canada. Today's email appears to be for Amazon US. I think that's why the deadlines are different.

Looks like the deadline went into affect yesterday. Only one CD was knocked to inactive, a Spanish-Language CD for which the label MIGHT be from some subsidiary of Univeral (when you try & request permission to sell, it mentions the $UNIVERSAL brand and the need for 100 units on an invoice). However, turns out there's another non-blocked ASIN which is actually better anyhow for the CD. Amazon didn't remove the "Universal Church of the Master" BOOK so the BOT passes that test.

Every month I get more products pulled for invoices. What seller of used LP's and books has invoices?

Amazon claims this is for quality assurance while at the same time sellers with 65% feedback rating dominate the buy box on many LPs--despite the theme of their feedback being 'item sold as new, not new'.

Amazon needs to stop pretending their used book and LP sellers have invoices from manufacturers--or create a tier based on customer service metrics that allows sellers to bypass this requirment. I've been selling here since 2012, are they waiting for me to break bad for a $40 transaction?

its definitely universal movies and possibly music

It seems that a major initiative is being rolled out to push small sellers out of the Amazon marketplace. I wouldn't be surprised if someone claims this as their biggest achievement during their performance review.

Guess I did not miss anything.

Amazon needs to let us know exactly what they mean by Universal - Movies, CDs, Vinyl, Cassettes, printed material or non-media items.

If Amazon is referring to Universal Media items, once again they are showing their lack of knowledge in music and printed matter and the fact that they have no understanding about the limitations of researching out-of-print items.

I quit adding items to the Catalog last year because I refused to lie on the form and because, too often, I will create a product only to have it taken over by a Brand? whee I cannot even find it anymore.
