Removing a Beneficial Owner
Hi, My account has been de-activated for around 6 weeks now possibly longer. I have money sitting in my account on seller central and stranded stock.
My issue is when i set the business up I didn’t really know what i was doing.
Im a Sole Proprietor but added my Mum as a beneficial owner in error when she should have been a user. This is in case something were to happen to me and to help out as needed.
I have subsequently added her as a secondary user which has been approved and permissions adjusted.
My account however is still blocked, as they want me to remove her as a beneficial owner. I’ve a case log as long as my arm where I explain there is no delete / remove button for me to physically remove her. I follow the instructions sent on how to contact seller support but it just takes me back to the home page. If I resubmit for verification they just reject and tell me to remove her. If I contact account health they just immediately close the case because my account is deactivated. If I request re-activation again they just refer me to delete the beneficial owner.
I don’t seem to be getting anywhere other than dizzy from going around and around in circles and am at my wits end. Does anyone know of another way to remove a beneficial owner of the Identity information page please? As a separate comment they also say this is where they say you can add owners but that doesn’t exist as a button either…
should I try changing it to limited company to see if I can then adjust the owners and then change back to SP? Im so confused as to what to do next.

it probably won’t be reactivated until you are reregistered as a sole trader

In my settings - identity information - beneficial owners section there is a delete button next to the name - do you not have that ?

You can’t just keep changing the legal entity of your account - limited company has a lot of consequences which you need to understand.

Thanks for the responses,
When I click expand I can edit the beneficial owners details but there isn’t an option to delete or add of I wanted to.
With this in mind and the potential issues of changing to a Ltd company I changed to private which I’m doing so automatically removed the “owner”
They have subsequently approved this however account is still showing deactivated.
I have added a new case surrounding this
It seems seller support have to open the fields for delete so not sure what after so many emails and cases this was never done.
Appreciate the comments thus far hopefully the account will be up and running soon.
Praying for a miracle at this point.

So they have rejected sole proprietor because mums name has reappeared so I have gone full circle (again) and am stuck because there is no way to delete her even when I expand….
Any suggestions on how to get someone to actually read my issue ?

Yes I can see all that detail there so that’s all saved correctly.
Excuse my inexpert redacting of the details but as you can see there is no remove button against this user.
When I go into my name Primary Contact and beneficial owner all my ID details are loaded correctly. When I expand the business info my address and UTR are all there correctly also.
I’m so baffled as to how I proceed
