What is going on with USPS?
We have used Amazon shipping and use USPS as the preffered partner for years. Over the past months we have had so many issues with USPS not updating any tracking info and many lost items. Sadly this has impacted my ODR. I have sumitted appeals on all of the claims but to no avail. I would like to hear any ideas on how to avoid this dilema. It has become a bit frustrating and put my account at risk.

Are they scanning your orders and they are getting lost in transit, or are the missing the acceptance scans?

We don't have this issue. This year has been better for us compared to the previous years. Packages are been delivered and being scanned. The only difference is there are much more returns.

I can't say that has been happening. I did have a couple things scanned as delivered before they got there which confused some customers. I never heard back from them after asking them to wait a day or two so supposing things worked out.

You should do the "end of day" scannable form. Have them scan this upon dropping off the packages, they don't have to scan them individually at the Post office
Under "Orders" < "Order Reports" < "End of Day Forms"
You can print one a day for each day, and it gives you a single bar code for the person at USPS to scan for all your packages from one to 1000 packages a day

That's very strange. I had one order in early November never update, I filed a claim and they sent a check right away. Ground Advantage. No other problems.

we use usps and there were some issues this season, it wasn't too bad. A few lost and a few delayed. Anyone that did not get the order or it was received past the estimated time and they complained - Amazon refunded on their dime since I bought Amazon shipping labels.

I have used USPS for 14years now. Can say I have only had 5-6 items lost in those times. Over 20K packages sent.

I have noticed that often USPS "Track Your Package" was often down last month. Would have to click "See Details on USPS", which is often better but still baulky.
We usually get daily counter scans. Recently, using the kiosk is the quickest way to get a scan and, our P.O., which has been completely reliable about scanning in parcels from the adjacent blue bin, are not being accepted the same day. Sometimes, next day or often not at all. Thankfully, so far hasn't effected our metrics-- no INR--but the year is young.

Hello @Seller_1m1gARjappZjA
Thank you for the information provided regarding the issues you have been experiencing in your shipping. If you are having trouble with a specific carrier not doing all of the steps needed, we would recommend working directly with them to resolve these issues or researching to acquire a new carrier. Have you considered changing carriers or worked with them to identify the issues?
While we understand the carrier may behaving issues, the responsibility would be your own to provide a response to the concerns on the account. For the claims being received, you can attempt to provide the information showing the mistakes being made. If the claim appeal is denied, then you may need to wait for the 60 days that the order is impacting the account. If the appeal is denied, you can attempt to provide your disputing detail in a case, but we cannot guarantee this will lead to the claim being resolved.
If you have any additional details to share or questions regarding your situation, continue to refer here for support.
Best,
Atlas

Here os how to prevent this in the future.
1) PURCHASE POSTAGE USING AMAZON BUY SHIPPING
2) MAKE SURE PACKAGE IS SCANNED INTO CARRIER'S POSSESSION BEFORE THE CLOSE OF THE "SHIP-BY" WINDOW SCHEDULED BY AMAZON.
As long as you do this, Amazon will protect you from ANY and ALL "Problems with Delivery".
Dilemma avoided...
