I just started my Amazon Sellers account and the first purchase I had to cancel due to a possible scam from the buyer. Now my seller profile reflects a 100% cancellation rate. Is Amazon able to reset my metrics? I had a buyer with no name place an order. They didn't provide a valid name that matched the address. After investigation, I found dozens of reviews online that the phone number associated with the account is scamming MANY Amazon sellers online. I ended up canceling the order due to an undeliverable address because I didn't see any other option available at the time and would like to know how to get this fixed. what is the recourse for shipping to an address with no name and the buyer claims they never received it?

if you buy Amazon shipping you should be protected. They can have no name, Batman, Garfield...whatever they want. Amazon will not change your metrics. That one lasts for 7 days ad will drop off. Also, you shouldn't be googling buyers addresses either.

To the advice already given, I'll add that the phone numbers you see are temporary redirects at Amazon; it is not the customer's number. So the same number could be used hundreds of times over the course of a few years; it's not something that you can conclude anything from.
just use Amazon Buy Shipping, and ship it. If valuable, get signature confirmation. But otherwise, just ship it.

As far was cancelling the order, if there is no correct address, then this was the right thing to do.
