Unable to create listing with 'generic' brand name
I'm trying to create a new listing for a product that has not been in the Amazon catalogue before.
I'm stuck with the 'brand name' field. The product does not have a brand name and I have checked the box to indicate as such, however I'm told that 'Generic' cannot be used.
Nothing I enter into this field will be accepted. Any ideas?

That error is suggesting it’s trying to link to an already existing ASIN that has brand data against it.
Did you include a barcode in the data when trying to add the product?
