VTR changes from 01/04
Does anyone have a workaround to allow Royal mail click and drop OBA accounts that send untracked large letters and small parcels and not affect VTR. I used to be able to select royal mail and stamps and franking but that is now unacceptable and counts against VTR. They suggest that if you select Whistle and other and type untracked in the box that that will be exempt. can anyone help/confirm this.

There’s no workaround
Workarounds were presumably the reason they changed the vtr policy again
You can’t use royal mail and put whistl to throw off the system

Who is ‘they’ ? - presumably not SS ? - you cannot put whistl if you are not using them.
There is no workaround, as people were using the stamps/franking incorrectly to try and by-pass the system.

This just seems crazy to me. They invalidate one workaround and introduce another ??! - unless I am misunderstanding ?

Ironically, amazon appear to be telling to you go whistl.

Royal mail send despatch confirmation to amazon and the tracking number for large letters and parcels however the field they send to amazon is UK_std_dom1. Years ago this used to trigger VTR so I have had to change this to Royal mail Stamps/franking to keep my VTR up. However now they dont accept that or Royal mail 2nd class stamps/franking unless I buy amazon shipping. When I enquired they told me to select this option and I would be ok however when I viewed the case log it said
I have investigated the issue and here are the results.

You have selected Stamps/Franking as the Shipping Service for the Order: 205-5974905-1432309.
-
However, If are using Royal Mail stamps/franking, your shipment will now only be exempt from VTR if you buy Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class letter stamps through Amazon Buy Shipping.

Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class letter stamps are available through Amazon Buy Shipping at no additional cost.

I use an OBA account to send small and large envelopes UNH. Since the recent VTR changes on Amazon I’ve noticed drop in VTR …
I download a ‘Confirmed Sales Order’ manifest for scanning at the post office when I hand over the grey sacks.
My question is … Can I use the tracking number / barcode from the OBA manifest for the envelopes sent out when I confirm dispatch on Amazon?
Any advice gratefully received

Hang on what’s changed???
I use Royal Mail CRL24 with a delivery confirmation scan through OBA account for Large Letters
Are these still exempt / valid??

n/a is fine, but when did you swap over?
Seller_NoMNQDGnEW5Bx
everything is fine then as it stands. n/a simply means you havent sent any tracked items and all your non tracked ones are exempt because you use buy shipping
Seller_Xtb6vIhzOSaXT
can I find out what the cost of 1st class large letter no tracking bought through Amazon.
Currently on franking I am paying £1.37. Already a jump from £1.19 which I have covered
at the present time.
