New inbound placement fee structure is terrible.
The new inbound placement is a nightmare. I usually send a few boxes every few days to fba because it is easier for me to manage. I started doing one large shipment a week to account for the new placement fees. I figured I would be able to avoid the fees by sending in 9-10 boxes at once. I finished packing a 9 box shipment on saturday and went to confirm shipping only to be met with no option for amazon optimized shipping and hundred of dollars in placement fees. I have no problem sending to multiple fulfillment centers to save money but they did not even give me the option. I wasted hours trying make a larger shipment so it would let me send to multiple places. They wanted 8 boxes going to one place and only one to another. I even separated out each sku evenly into each box. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Good morning @Seller_z0TFo0bduk0xA, and thank you for coming to the forums!
The different Inbound placement options will be provided only when your shipments qualify. Factors that affect the number of inbound options include the following:
- Whether your shipment includes a mix of standard-size items, non-standard-size items, or special handling categories
- Whether each box contains the same mix and quantities of SKUs
- Quantities and number of boxes for each item
- Geographical demand
To maximize the number of inbound options, try the following:
- Create separate shipments for standard-size items, non-standard-size items, and each special handling category
- Ensure that the item mix and item quantities are equal across all boxes
- Increase the number of boxes
For more information, go to "2024 FBA inbound placement service fee".
Please let me know if you have any additional thoughts or questions, and I thank you for your feedback.

Amazon does NOT care. They seriously do not care at all. They have zero plans to do anything but run small domestic sellers out of business in favor of Chinese junk sellers.
Wish it weren't true :(

It might be that the shipment setting are changed to either partial or minimal split, what you can do is go to the setting icon on top right, then go to fulfillment by amazon, there search for inbound settings, go to edit, you will see the option to select "Amazon-optimized split" select it and update, wait for a bit and then try creating new shipment, hopefully this will resolve the issue, thank you!

It is much more difficult for small and medium sellers to deliver goods to FBA.

you need to split each SKU into 4/5 min boxes of even qty. That is the best way to send to multiple locations and avoid the fee. Yes, shipping will go up, but you will also get inventory into FBA sooner.

I really don't know why Amazon has to add another fee to make sellers miserable. Net income amounted to 30.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2923. Does Amazon really need to fleece all this extra money off of sellers?

Why hide these details behind a mysterious algorithm? Just tell us specifically what is generating these fees for each shipment. Is it the mix of product sizes? the mix of SKUs? the qty and number of boxes? Geographical demand? As sellers we shouldn't have to guess what Amazon wants, and we definitely don't need to spend time "trying the following". Just give us straightforward information and steps to follow.

We sell a lot of open box items. This has been horrible!
We don't have a pallet of the exact same thing and take photos of open box items in brand new condition.
I spent all last week trying to get Partial Shipment options (still had to split shipment but with no discounts). This is adding so much cost to every shipment, it's insane! This shouldn't have been a blanket fee for everything, unless they no longer want mint-condition, brand name, Used Like-New items offered.
I get they're trying to get those who sell bulk to use Amazon Warehouse... but that is not everything!
AMAZON, HEEEEEELLLLLLPPPP!!!

everyone is in the same boat, just raise your prices on amazon and keep them where you have them at now on other marketplaces, we seen our sales grow 10 fold on other marketplaces when we raised prices .50 an item on amazon
