I have just opened a seller account but it does not accepy my EIN number, It says it does not match. Why?

How long has it been since you got your EIN? When we did it (years ago) it took several days, maybe even a week, before it was universally recognized.

1. How long have you had the EIN number?
2. Everything must match the account holders name and address.
3. If you are a Sole-Member LLC you have to use your SS number, because that what you file your taxes under.

Did that to me too. It was fine for many-many years, then one day it said it doesn't match (anymore)... Makes no sense.

You got a notification from the IRS with a name and address and the EIN, enter both exactly as they appear in the letter, you will have to verify it by sending a PDF of the same document eventually.
