Need Advice on Understanding Business Reports
Hi guys, this is my first post on here and I’m just hoping to get some advice as seller support can’t seem to comprehend what I am asking.
If I click on ‘view more seller metrics’ (under sales summary) from my seller account homepage it takes me to my sales dashboard. From here, if I click on ‘detail page sales and traffic’ (under ASIN, under business reports at left of screen), it generates a table with lots of info about the sale of each of my products for a specific time period. One of the columns in this table is titled ‘Units Ordered’, and another column is titled ‘Total Order Items’. What is the difference between these? For all of the products I list the numbers in these two columns are different. Which one tells me how many units of a product I have actually sold in that time period?
If anyone can give me a clear answer on this I would be very grateful.

Total Order Items: The number of unique items ordered. For example, 3 copies of item A and 4 copies of item B is 2 order items.
Units Ordered: The number of individual units or items ordered. For example, 3 copies of item A and 4 copies of item B is 7 units ordered.
So basically your Order Items is count of unique ASINs and Units is the count of total items.
