Bank account verification

Hi, hoping there maybe someone who can help or maybe someone who’s a little further down the line than me on above issue.

We are a UK LTD company selling on amazon for the last 8 years. Suddenly we were asked to verify bank account details. Bank is registered in company name which is the same name listed on seller central.

We sent bank statement but later received another generic email stating:

’ as you are operating as a business, the bank account that you enter in Seller Central must be in the name of your business or under the name of a beneficial owner. You must also provide a bank statement or bank letter that matches the bank account details that you enter in Seller Central’

We then added bank details again making sure everything is 100% identical to seller central details, which it is, but got the same result.

However, when we go into the ‘bank account information’ section, the account is showing as verified. Yet amazon have decided to deactivated my account until I provide the correct bank details.

Unsure what to do next? Live chat yields the same replies as the emails unfortunately. Again if I do follow the instructions I later receive email telling me its failed verification yet when I pull up the new details entered in amazon they show as verified??

Also seems they are happy to leave my listings active and let me continue selling and dispatch orders via amazon, but are now refusing to send out any disbursements on said orders.

Very disappointed on the customer service I have received thus far after years of loyal and reliable service I’ve given to them.

Kind regards

Jacob

The registered business address on your seller profile page is not the same one as registered at CH
According to CH, it was changed in 2018

Is the bank account registered at the correct address ?

Sadly, years of loyal and reliable service mean nothing with Amazon, as you’ve gathered.

Saying that, they’ve been quite clear what they need.

“ as you are operating as a business, the bank account that you enter in Seller Central must be in the name of your business or under the name of a beneficial owner. You must also provide a bank statement or bank letter that matches the bank account details that you enter in Seller Central“

Is it a business account? Is it in the name of the business (exactly) or in the name of the beneficial owner (exactly)?

AND, have you provided them with a bank statement or bank letter that matches the bank account details in Seller Central?

Many thanks for the reply.

Business account yes, in the name of the business exactly, and provided bank statement to match the details in seller central exactly.

I do wish amazon could be more clear on exactly what is wrong with the details I am providing.

My account, company and bank details have not changed since I open my account many years ago so unsure as to why the details are now not being accepted.

Hopefully a non automated response from amazon can shed more light onto the situation. Heres to hoping anyway!
