Vat Verification Issue : Can Anyone Help ? - Is there a MOD who can assist ?

Hi There

On 30th July 2024 we completed a legal entity transfer on the Amazon Account and this was all confirmed by Amazon on 30.07.2024

Our business does not yet meet the UK VAT threshold and therefore does not have a VAT number

a few weeks ago we received an Amazon notification that Amazon have received a notice from HMRC that there is a VAT registration issue relating to not being a UK business. The notification quotes the previous legal entities VAT number, as stated we do not have one nor do we meet the threshold.

The previous legal entity was also a UK business so there should not be an issue there either.

The Block on the Account is also preventing us from making the declaration that we do not see the threshold

I have submitted lots of documents and details about our ompany now on at least 6 occasions and am getting nowhere .

I have made four seller support calls and three chat sessions, these end up with the matter being transferred to a special team and then I receive an email that takes me back to Square 1

I have demonstrated we are a completely different Limited Company with a different company number and demonstrated we are only resident and trading within the UK and I am still not receiving any assistance

This is now starting to seriously affect our business and my mental health as the stress is unbelievable

Can you please assist as a matter of urgency

Regards

A Fairbrass

Your address is a virtual one, with many others registered there. Amazon see this as evidence that you are not physically operating from the UK. There are many other posts in this forum similar to this.

I suggest changing the address to where you actually have meetings, take in deliveries, file paperwork, etc.
