Whitelisting a product with our own GTIN code
We are trying to list a product we have had made which does not have a brand. We have purchased our own GTIN codes from GS1. We understand that we need to get the product whitelisted but one person at Amazon help tells us one thing and another person another.
Has anyone tried to list a non-branded product with a new barcode which you own?

When you say non-branded do you mean completely generic, or something you made yourself which isn’t on the brand registry / isn’t a big name?

Okay… GS1 give you an identifier and a range of numbers to use. Instead of putting generic on there, can you use whatever business name you’ve used to register with GS1?

(for the record I hate the elastic round the ear types… I wear glasses and they rub like hell)

As a new seller you should not be listing face masks as one of your first products. More experienced sellers are being turned down and are also steering clear and many have had their existing listings suppressed or removed.
Imo you are putting your account at risk, just for the chance of cashing in.
I would hold off till restrictions are lifted, if I were you.
Your call, don’t say you weren’t warned.

I’ve deleted the last post and will repost as a new topic since this has moved on from the barcode / branding issue now
