VTR - must now use 'buy shipping'?
Hi
Could someone please let me know what the situation is regarding posting items? I’ve been away for 10 weeks with my holiday settings on. Previously I dispatched items from my local post office and then used the ‘stamps/franking’ option on the drop down, which provided a waiver on the VTR report. Is this no longer possible? If not, what do I need to do in order to but Royal Mail shipping? Any input much appreciated.

Stamps/Franking will NOT be a viable option for VTR purposes from the 31st of March onwards.
Letters - Amazon Buy Shipping ONLY
Large Letters - Post Office, Amazon Buy Shipping or C&D using codes BPL or CRL - 2D barcode number must be uploaded to the order details, at the point of dispatch.
Parcels - Post Office, Amazon Buy Shipping or C&D using code BPL, CRL, Signed For, Tracked 24/48 etc,
Just to add postal services for Large Letters and Parcels, bought at the Post Office would still be accepted, as long as the 2D barcode numbers are supplied to Amazon.

Thank you for your helpful reply.
I don’t know what C&D is I’m afraid.
I only sell a small number of items, 1 or 2 a day, mainly large letter size although a small number of letters and small packets. Can I just click on Amazon Buy Shipping each time I want to post an item, or will I need to download some kind of programme to be able to print the labels?
I was prompted by Amazon to install Q Tray, but saw negative feedback concerning it and so have uninstalled it.
You say that postal services for Large Letters and Small Packets bought at the Post Office will still be accepted as long as the 2D barcode nos are supplied to Amazon. Is this the same as the reference number that appears on the proof of posting receipt, or is it something different? How would I go about supplying this information to Amazon?
My apologies for my total ignorance, this is all new to me, and I have missed all the discussion regarding it because I have been away since mid-January.

Hello @Net_Selling and @craigwlomas2003
You mentioned the Post Office reference numbers not working when you buy the postage at the Post Office - I have the same problem - but if I input them with the dashes/hyphens in they are accepted, and I can press despatch.
I am not sure if this will affect my VTR though as I have only been doing it since 1st April.
@Net_Selling - was your problem being able to input them, or did it affect your VTR?
I really do not want to use Amazon Buy Shipping - so any advice would be appreciated.
I posted this elsewhere but can’t seem to find anyone who still goes to the Post Office!!

C&D /Click & Drop is not good to me as I want to be 100% reliable and you can’t control when RM staff will tackle my bag or pack, they sometimes only do it the next day or even next after that, then you risk this type of feedback:
“Seller confirmed shipping 2 days before she actually shipped it (as shown by date printed on label!) ! - How I hate those sellers who pretend to ship fast, yet don’t, and keep you expecting it too early, so you’re disappointed each day!” (1 star out of 5).
Once on ebay, although I rated it positive, I negatively commented on just the same, and the poor seller replied that she had dropped it at the PO on the said shipping day, and could only assume that they had not sorted her bag that day!
I tried once to start the Amazon Shipping process to see what it was like, and it seemed like an endless lengthy process - having to enter so much info, weigh & measure…
But anyway; say I post a CD “LL” under 100g - at the PO I would pay £1.15 untracked, or £2.65 Signed-For.
If I buy it on Amz (A.S.), how much do I pay for it to be VTR-valid?
