Allow Amazon to buy my products to sell globally... ineligible
I was looking through some of my settings today and found this under the FBA section “Allow Amazon to buy my products to sell globally” but it is marked as “ineligible” so I contacted seller support and they tell me there is no criteria to be eligible or not, you just either are or you are not ! I find this hard to believe, is it a lottery ? has anyone ever had this before and who do we contact to find out what the criteria is ?
Hope someone out there on the land of the forums could point me in the right direction
Thanks

They’re kind of accurate in their response. All sellers are auto-entered into that program, unless they are ineligible in which case they aren’t. There’s no published criteria that I’ve ever found.

To be honest it’s probably the worst program to increase sales of the ones available.

Are you selling your own branded goods or reselling well known brands?
I had always assumed they are only going to do this if you stock goods that already have a global demand and are being searched for.

I think this is the Vendor programme. I was entered into it some years ago and it was the worst decision I ever made on Amazon. Stay well clear is my advice. Once you sign up for it,they control your brand and set your prices. They tell you how much they will pay. Then you get orders for 1 unit to be sent to one warehouse and another unit to another warehouse, twice weekly. They then pay you 60 days net but if you want faster payments then they will offer you a discount on your invoice. They say they will transfer your catalogue to the vendor programme and they make such a mess of it your sales plummet. Support is non existent. It nearly killed my business and taught me never to trust the idea of an Amazon “programme” again,… I was also stupid enough to try the Launchpad rubbish at one point too. Dont get me started on that one lol

We had a product that we have now stopped selling, some orders were bought by Amazon themselves for us to send to Amazon customer we are FBM. The sale price was always a penny less then the actual cost of the item, I did frown and wonder what this was, and I now wonder if it was to do with this? The product was a BT splitter plug nothing exciting but highly competitive, eventually pushed us out, some you win some you lose, and a lot of the time people are stupidly not making any profit why do they do that? mad! oh well move on to the next lol.

Okay i have this enabled and I had no idea… I wonder how many of my products they’ve been selling globally.

We activated this yesterday as we was eligible. We make our own products, so our SKU/EAN’s are not on other marketplaces - at the minute anyway.
