Managed to Get a Refund from RM for an Item Sent Using Buy Shipping

I know it's been discussed a few times about RM passing the buck to Amazon and visa versa for INRs claims for RM postage bought through Buy Shipping, but much to my surprise I've just received a cheque for the full value and postage that I claimed for.

RM have been on a bit of a "let's avoid paying claims" drive I think. I had two complete fob off responses to INR recently, whereby RM said I had not provided all the evidence needed, even though you literally cannot submit the claim online without providing the evidence needed. Consider these as barriers designed to waste your time and try to put you off your claim (do nothing and it expires), but be persistent - if you have the time! - and eventually they pay up. I threatened to report them to the ombudsman and I will probably do so as their prevarications were so wilful - did not even specify what was supposedly "missing". They even wrote 'the quickest way to provide this evidence is to reply to this email.' The email address was: 'donotreply...'

We have never had any problems making a claim from Royal Mail. As long as you give them all the details needed. I find them easy to deal with. When we have called because customers say they have not received and package even though there is a signature showing and time of delivery, Royal Mail can tell you where the GPS signal for delivery was .
