One star feedback for cancellation on a book that already sold.

On January 15, 2023 I sold a book and it was again ordered in November 2024.

I cancelled the order stating my reason was "Out of Stock". The buyer left me a one star feedback. I had checked the reason on the Amazon seller page as to why it was cancelled.

Dougal_Amazon - Can you or someone in seller support please remove this feedback?

Thank you for your consideration.

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable, if unfortunate, feedback.

Customer ordered a book from you, in good faith that you would deliver as promised.

You failed to deliver (reason is unimportant, at least to the customer).

Customer left negative feedback.

I don't see any reason Amazon should remove that feedback.

Sadly, these "ghost listings" happen from time to time. That's why most booksellers will tell you to fully delete any inactive listings, to help prevent this from happening.

Today I was editing prices on my inventory and got a message from Amazon that a new listing was created!

I think that explains why "zombie" listings appear even after the original items sold.

Strange.
