Thermal label printer
I bit the bullet and bought a thermal label printer.I have set it up and installed drivers etc.Problem is it’s printing blank labels.
As a test I sent a packaging slip and label to the printer and only the packaging slip was printed (albeit over several labels of course due to the size).
For some reason I dont seem able to print labels at all, anyone have any ideas what may be wrong here.
Ignore parapgraph 2 ,what I should have said was that I clicked print packing slip and that printed fine.I click reprint label or actually buy shipping and labels don’t print.

Have a look in the printer properties, there should be a bit in there where you put the actual label size in which is often blank. Try inputting the correct label size in there it usually works.

is your printer showing up on the drop down?

Daft thought, but take it you did purchase Thermal Labels for it, and not just standard labels ?

I need to get a Thermal Printer. Anyone recommend a good one and where to get the labels?
thanks

From experience, I’d recommend the Zebra GK420D, we’ve had the same one now for around 6 years, labels supplied by Royal Mail, easy to setup, and a reputable brand, (not that we’ve needed support for it).
We also use another version for our store product labelling etc, definitely worth it in the long run

Yep as others have said, you need the Zebra GK420d printer, thermal labels are free from Royal mail if you have a business account.

Nothing wrong with cheap thermal printers generally. Forget printing direct from Amazon. Save the label as PDF as normal and then open with Adobe Acrobat. Snapshot label, right click, print.
I use a Munbyn which cost me about 100 quid. Probably printed around 10,000 labels now still works perfectly

Another +1 for the Munbyn Thermal printer, relatively cheap and very cheerful. I’ve used it to print over 100,000 labels, and not a problem ever.
