How to unregister VAT on Amazon?

Hi

My UK based business was once VAT registered, but I have fallen below the needed annual turnover.

So I have deregistered for VAT with HMRC.

How do I remove my VAT registered status from Amazon UK?

There seems to be no option anywhere to do this.

Any help is very appreciated

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand that you want to remove a VAT Number.

In order to remove a VAT Number, please take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to your VAT Calculation Settings through Settings > VAT Calculations Settings > Change your VAT settings.

  2. Click on “Edit” next to the VAT number that you wish to delete.

  3. On the bottom left corner of the popup window, click on “Delete.” You will be asked if you are certain that you wish to delete your VAT number. If you truly wish to delete your VAT number, click on the yellow button labeled “Delete” and your VAT number will be removed.

I don’t have decent access to check right now, but there was a delete option when I ended my VAT registration.

Hi! thank you so much for that point in the right direction!

But… there it seems to only let me either edit or add a new VAT/GST number

Is there a way to remove the VAT number and declare yourself now a non-VAT registered business?
