Listing With One Variation

I am trying to create a new listing with only 1 variation which is Flavour. But it's not allowing me to do so and keep asking to add the Size variation (Size turns red). The pack sizes are all the same for this listing.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Hello @Seller_9CLMpIGOKAdx1,

I understand your frustration with creating a new listing with only Flavor variation and the Size variation turning red. Let me help you with this issue.

The reason you can’t create a new listing with only Flavor variation and why Size variation is turning red is likely due to the specific requirements for variation themes in your product category. Variation themes differ by category, and some categories may require multiple attributes for a valid variation family.

Here are a few things to consider:

  1. Check the available variation themes: Download the product template for your item’s category and refer to the valid values tab for a list of available variation themes.
  2. Ensure you’re using the correct variation theme: For example, if your product requires both Flavor and Size variations, you might need to use a combined theme like “FlavorSize”.
  3. Verify product category requirements: Some product categories have specific rules for variations. Make sure you’re following the guidelines for your particular category.

If you’re still having trouble, you might want to try the following:

  • Use the Variation Wizard in Seller Central to create your variation family, as it can guide you through the process more intuitively.
  • If you’re using a product template, double-check that you’ve filled out all required fields for both parent and child products.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. If you continue to experience issues after trying these suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact Seller Support for further assistance. You can share the case ID in this thread, and I'll review to ensure it's being addressed properly.

Regards,

- Manny
