Amazon please respond, we are closing our business on Amazon
Hi Amazon mods and sellers.
I hope all of you guys are doing good; due to unfortunate reasons we are closing down our Amazon store this month, may Amazon please suggest what will happen to our pending FBA orders ? and will we get paid for the money Amazon owe to us in pending fba orders when we have closed our business here ?
Right now we are just waiting for pending fba orders to get shipped by Amazon so that we can close our store for good here, can we do it even if orders are pending and will Amazon pay us that money or should we wait ?
Thanks

Absolutely wait. You never want to close the doors with money on the table.

"can we do it even if orders are pending and will Amazon pay us that money or should we wait ? "
As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9notes, WAIT!
In fact, I'm not sure Amazon will let you close up until at least 90 days has passed from the delivery of the last order so that any returns or claims are past the window for problems!
In addition, when you do actually close be sure to download all of your reports and financial information that you might need for taxes since once you really close, none of that will be available to you.
Good luck!

This is exactly right. You'll have to wait.
But since you mention "pending" FBA orders, you'll also need to remove all of your FBA inventory. Go ahead and submit the removal order for whatever is available; you may need to check back in a few days, in case any of those pending orders don't go through. Besides the 90 days past the last sale, you'll also have to wait until all inventory is removed. That usually takes less than 90 days, but I have had one that took 7 months. So don't delay; go ahead and create the removal order.
Oh, and downgrade to Individual so that you aren't charged the monthly fee while you're waiting. But do as Neverlast recommends and download all reports first.

I think anything has been said! I would just suggest to not close your account but to put it on vacation mode. You never know if one day you will change your mind and sell again on Amazon. With a "ready" account you will just need a re-verification.

So, while you are waiting for those 90 days from the last sale to close your account, does Amazon charge you the $40 per month to be a professional seller or can you become an individual seller?

Hey @Seller_pTj1n4z2Twkii,
Thank you for your post. My apologies on the frustration. If you choose to close your account, go to Settings and click Account Info. In the Account Management section on the left hand side of the page, click Close Account. Fill in all the required fields and click Send to submit your request. We will then contact you for assistance. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been closed, or an email detailing why your account can't be closed at this time and additional steps required.
Note: that you must close each regional account individually: North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia. If you keep any accounts open with a Professional selling plan and have buyable listings, you will still be subject to a monthly subscription fee. For more information on monthly subscription fees for merged accounts, go to Merge accounts. You can see a list of your global accounts here.
Please proceed with caution. If you feel you may sell again in the future, it is best to downgrade your account so you are not charged any monthly fees as well as remove any FBA inventory as closing your account is a permanent action and cannot be reversed. Ensure that you have downloaded any reports that you need, as you will no longer have access.
You can choose to downgrade your account from a Professional selling plan to an Individual selling plan if you don't want to be charged a monthly subscription fee. To downgrade your account to an Individual selling plan, click Selling on Amazon in Manage Your Services. For more information, go to Selling plans.
Steps to take before closing your seller account
If you decide to permanently close your account, follow these steps:
- Fulfill any outstanding orders.
- Wait 90 days after your last sale to ensure the A-to-z Guarantee claims period is honored.
- Wait until you have a zero balance in your account (your next disbursement or charge date).
- Resolve all of your transactions with buyers, including issuing any necessary refunds.
- Confirm that yourbank account information on file is up-to-date to receive a final payment.
- Check your Performance notifications to make sure that all the reasons for your account's suspension have been resolved and your account is restored.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Best,
Micah

We would suggest not to close the account. Place the account on Vacation. Here and there send you FBA items. You never know. Amazon is one the greatest business opportunity you may have in the future. You never know what future holds. So, never close a door that has great future. Find a way to stay. I hope your health is OK and you will come back and join us in the future.

You can not close it if you want the money in pending orders.
You should wait 3 months to settle everything and then if you still want to close it, however, you can leave it dormant, you will not have monthly fees.
What is the rush in closing? It is always suspicious when it is a rush to do something on Amazon.
