Section 3 - Wholesaleconnect.co

Basically - I've been hit by a section 3 due to authenticity - I bought all my inventory from wholesaleconnect.co but now I cant get hold of them to give me authorization letters from brands they sell. Not bad mouthing them, however does anyone have experience using them and receiving such letters ?

Thanks

No distributor can grant authorization for selling anything. Only the brand owner/manufacturer can do that.

Sourcing starts with contacting the brand for authorization, and a list of their authorized suppliers.

"surely the distributor should be authorized / should be able to prove authorization being a B2B."

WRONG! NEVER ASSUME!

You don't say if you have already been suspended or not ot are just facing authenticity questions. If you haven't been you can expect it to follow shortly.

As noted by @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl distributors distribute, they do NOT have the ability to authorize anything.

IN ADDITION, your source is one of those suppliers that have thousands of items and NO approvals from the brands to be a wholesale distributor for those brands.

That works if you have a brick and mortar store selling only to your neighborhood. It does NOT work if you want to sell on websites such as Amazon.

You flunked Business 101 Amazon Style by NOT reading all the rules for selling here.

To survive here you need to follow the requirements for the new, improved Amazon.

Have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here.

Obviously you don't have them so violation #1.

Source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK.

Obviously you did not do this so violation #2.

If you have watched any YouTube or TikTok videos FORGET everything you saw there.

Spend hours/days on Seller U and read the Forum to see all the really creative ways rookies find to get suspended by ignoring the advice above!

In terms of this - surely the distributor should be authorized
View post

Yes, the distributor should be authorized to sell the products (did you verify this? Or just take their word for it?)

But even if they are authorized to sell the product, they cannot authorize YOU to sell the product ON AMAZON. Many brands have no problem with businesses selling their products in B&M stores, but do not want them sold on Amazon or similar platforms; sometimes because they sell there themselves, other times to protect their B&M partners, or other reasons.

I see that you have received a section 3 violation for authenticity concerns and you have questions about how to obtain the authorization letters for the brand(s) in question.

To address this deactivation you will be asked to provide invoices for the affected ASINs, from an authorized source, that meet our document requirements. If the invoices are not able to be verified, you may be asked to provide supply chain invoices from your supplier, along with letters of authorization.

If your supplier is not willing to provide you with supply chain invoices we cannot guarantee a resolution of this issue. Have you reached out to the brand to see if they would be willing to grant you permission to utilize their intellectual property and sell their products?

Once you have reviewed information and questions above, please feel free to respond here. The Forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,

LeviDylan
