Is it that difficult for Amazon to let us know ahead of the IP Violations to get off the listings?

I am seriously asking, I was brand-approved and I am a "LEGIT" distributor of the brand that unbeknownst to me decided they no longer wanted us "sellers" to sell their brand. I have no problems with this, what I have a problem with is my store getting hit with a violation BEFORE I have the opportunity to prove that I am indeed approved to sell "THE BRAND".

I am sure Amazon has a list of brands it now chooses to work directly with. Can we get a copy? Or better yet? Can we receive a "warning" or a "smoke signal" or a "low impact" something so my business can still operate?

This would show us that you do care about us.

Hi there @Seller_msW06fkuCyRIW,

Thank you for utilizing the seller forums! I do apologize for the delay in responding to you, but I greatly appreciate your patience with the moderating team and I.

Based on the title of your thread and the information you have provided, I understand you have questions about an intellectual property complaint you have received.

As Amazon holds intellectual property in the highest regard, there is the requirement that all sellers will follow local, state, and federal laws in addition to independent Amazon policies.

A received intellectual property complaint is sent by the rights owner and notifies Amazon of infringement. Depending on the type of infringement, it could be a way for the rights owner to verify you, as a seller, have the proper authorizations to utilize their intellectual property or that you sourced from a valid supplier.

Are you able to provide a letter of authorization or licensing agreement? Are you able to reach out to the rights owner and see if they are wiling to retract the complaint?

I would like to ask for clarification from you here- were you approved on Amazon to sell the brand or were you not met with any other roadblocks when listing the item? Even when approved to initially list on a branded item, the rights owner can still provide a complaint in order to verify their own concerns of IP use or authenticity of the item.

The violation being added to your account is done so you, and sellers like yourself, may have a pathway to provide evidence that you are not infringing in any way.

If you could provide the specific violation you received, the community, moderating team, and myself can better assist here.

I look forward to your reply,

Stevie.
