Help with item shipped that's been delayed in transit (and seller just claims the item was undeliverable... tracking shows item being returned)
So I sold an item last week and shipped it out this past Monday via Amazon ground shipping. Was probably a mistake going with them because now I'm seeing this:
Time Location Event Details
Thu, Jul 11, 2024 10:11 PM PDT Your package is being returned to Amazon.
Thu, Jul 11, 2024 9:52 PM PDT Union City Georgia US Possible delay in delivery.
Thu, Jul 11, 2024 9:49 PM PDT Union City Georgia US Possible delay in delivery.
Thu, Jul 11, 2024 9:47 PM PDT Union City Georgia US Possible delay in delivery.
Thu, Jul 11, 2024 9:44 PM PDT Union City Georgia US Possible delay in delivery.
Thu, Jul 11, 2024 9:40 PM PDT Union City Georgia US Possible delay in delivery.
Mon, Jul 8, 2024 5:47 PM PDT Mission Viejo California US Package arrived at an Amazon facility.
Mon, Jul 8, 2024 4:33 PM PDT Laguna Hills US Carrier picked up the package.
Fri, Jul 5, 2024 10:49 AM PDT Carrier picked up the package.
Fri, Jul 5, 2024 10:29 AM PDT US Pickup scheduled with Carrier.
That in addition to a few messages from the buyer wondering where the item is and now requesting a refund.
Has anyone had issues with Amazon ground shipping? I thought it wouldn't be a problem considering, well, it's Amazon handling the shipping. But apparently I was mistaken.
Not quite sure what to do at this point. There's no phone number contact them that I'm aware of and obviously the seller isn't happy about this either.

I somehow found a support option to have a callback so am on the phone with them now (at least with ship.amazon.com). Trying to figure out what the deal is and it sounds like they are having to escalate.
This is bad, and the last time I'll be shipping with Amazon ground....smh

Interesting update/plot twist: the buyer is now claiming (I'm not sure on what basis, especially considering he hasn't actually received the item) that this is a counterfeit item and is going to cancel the order and file a complaint with Amazon... o_O
Something else I noticed is that a 2-3 weeks prior to the order being placed, there were like 7 cancellations for this very item - I didn't get the notifications of that so it seems whoever bought it immediately canceled the purchase before payment could be processed. That is a bit odd though so I'm a bit paranoid now and wondering if this guy is trying to defraud me....
